The exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and 'pay it forward' in their own way.
Well, boy oh boy did Pugsley and his mom throw us a big ol' bone of kindness! Check out all the sweet stuff that came in our package:
I also got a pug shaped cookie cutter. This means I now have to patent a pug-cookie to make with these. Yes! I was so excited to get the cookie cutter. I saw it on Salinger's blog and I HAD to have it!!!
Then there was a bag of treats and two brand new stuffies for the pugs. I tried to get them to pose with the stuffies before they carried them off to certain death. They were really really excited about them, so it was hard to get them to sit still. This is the best I could do:
I knew exactly which toy each of them would go for. Clementine immediately went for the little rope flamingo guy and Winston went for the loofah sausage dog.
Then they decided to just make a fair trade:
They also LOVE the beefy treats Heather and Pugsley sent along....they are so good that when I give one to Winston he RUNS off with it so no one will take it from him. He only does this with stuff he really really loves.
So a big THANK YOU!!!!! to Heather and Pugsley for letting us participate in the "Pay it Forward" exchange. Your gifts were so creative and original and thoughtful - we love them all!
And now it's MY turn!
This is how it works...I am going to send something to the first 3 blog owners who wants to take part. [If you're one of the first thee and you want to play - send me your email address to projectdogway@yahoo.com] In turn you will then post about this on your blog, link to me, then send something to the first three people who sign up to play along through your blog.
There are no cost restraints, BUT don't go crazy! The little something you send can be something you made, bought, were given or found. No biggie, just a gift that will make the person smile.Maybe something unique from where you live?
And, remember that kindness does not have to involve money; there are untold ways to help others every single day, everywhere you go - just look around.
I can't promise that my gifts will be as creative or generous as Heather and Pugsley's were, but I will try!! So if you want to play, leave me a comment - if you are one of the first three commenters, then email me at projectdogway@yahoo.com so I can get your mailing address.
ohhh!! i am the first to comment! i want to play! winston and clemmie's scrapbook page is super nice. it will look great on your wall.
ReplyDeleteAm I only the second person? Where is everyone???? Or am I confused and I'm not supposed to comment, but email. Maybe I got too much air today..or too much sunshine. There was a lot of sunshine today..really!
ReplyDeleteI think the game is fabulous. Look at all the wonderful gifts that came to your house for everyone!! Awsome- how very generous the gifts are! What a beautiful scrapbook page! My mom scraps a little, but she could never create something so pretty. How kind of Heather and Pugsley to spend such time and care for you.
